As third-party professionals, we intervene through conflict analysis, problem This SAQUA-accredited, three-day workshop gives participants the skills and knowledge they need to help them analyse conflict, and design and implement plans to manage it. The positive and negative characteristics of conflict are workshopped, as are the various business conflict modes, methods for resolving conflict in terms of the Labour Relations Act, how to choose the best strategy, and the personal attributes of a good conflict manager, among other issues. Each participant audits their own conflict management skills, and learns how to improve these.
The Practice provides professional intervention and training in mediating conflict, designing and facilitating change management/transformation processes, managing diversity, and facilitating negotiations.
This SAQUA-accredited, three-day workshop enables participants to review and help to change behaviour of individuals and their organisation itself. The issues discussed including demonstrating why managing diversity is important in the South African workplace; identifying problems related to diversity; actively promoting a culture of equality and inclusiveness; listing the solutions available for solving problems of cultural difference, and drawing up a written report identifying trends in the organisation, to present to management.
This is a three-day course that gives participants a sound knowledge of the theoretical framework behind effective negotiation, as well as practical negotiation skills. The focus is on personal growth, and case studies and role-plays help participants to learn experientially. The course is well-structured and an intense form of learning takes place, although the atmosphere is relaxed. The course covers the following modules: understanding conflict and negotiation; preparing for negotiations; communication and problem-solving skills; negotiation behaviour; emotional issues that arise during negotiation, and handling difficult situations.
This three-day course teaches the theoretical knowledge and practical skills attitudes, to enable participants to facilitate meetings, planning sessions, conferences and educational events, with confidence. Participants also learn the skills for designing and administering events, and learn about group dynamics. The learning is experiential and takes place in a non-judgemental environment. The course modules include: didactic versus experiential learning approaches; the techniques, procedures and tools that can be used for successful facilitation; power relations between the facilitator and group; dealing with difficult situations, and the attributes of an effective facilitator.
This workshop helps participants gain the skills and knowledge they need to prepare for, conduct and evaluate mediations. It teaches them how to identify and solve problems during the mediation process, act responsibly and effectively in the process, communicate effectively, handle emotions, be culturally and aesthetically sensitive, and find creative solutions, among other skills.
